Here's how it works. Material is placed in the
feed chute and it falls into the knife chamber.
Five rotating knives pass two stationary bed
knives to continuously cut material into smaller
and smaller pieces. When the material is small
enough to pass through a waste screen, it is
evacuated for disposal.

The SEM 200
Series Disintegrators have been evaluated by NSA and
with the standard 3/32" screen, meet the
requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, High
Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS 04-02, Optical
Media Destruction Devices. This SEM
Disintegrator has been designed to accommodate
materials typically not acceptable to a standard
paper shredder. With thru-put rates up to 100
lbs/hr., this unit is NSA approved for the
destruction of all levels of classified paper
documents and Optical Media (CDs/DVDs).
With an optional a 5/64" screen, the model 200
Disintegrator is also NSA/CSS 04-01 approved for KEY
TAPE Destruction. This disintegrator also
has the flexibility to destroy the following items
to privacy act (unclassified) level destruction:
Paper, ID Badges, Microfilm, CD Rom View Graphs,
Floppy Discs,Audio Cassettes, Sharps, Plastic Credit

The NEW SEM Model
DS-200 is the next evolution of the Model 200
Series. Incorporating the features of the DS-200, a
new waste evacuation air and filter system make this
the most superior unit in the 200 Series.
The SEM 200 Series Disintegrators have been
evaluated by NSA and with a standard 3/32" screen,
meet the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification
02-02, High Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS
04-02, Optical Media Destruction Devices.
With an optional 5/64" screen, the DS-200 is
also NSA/CSS 04-01 approved for KEY TAPE
Destruction. The DS-200 features a
pre-shredder to speed up the paper cutting process,
with a bypass feed for your other media. Completely
enclosed, sound proof cabinet around the vacuum
ensures maximum noise reduction for your office
environment.

The SEM Model
250 OPTICAL MEDIA and KEY TAPE Disintegrator has
been evaluated by the NSA and meets the requirements
of NSA/CSS Specification NSA/CSS Specification 04-02
for Optical Media Destruction Devices AND 04-01
Specification for Key Tape. The New SEM
Model 250 Optical Media / Key Tape Destruction unit
has a compact, portable design and operates at 115V
Single Phase power. This unit is capable of
processing Optical Disks at a rate of 720 p/Hr and
Key Tape in either roll or strip form at a rate of
120 FPM. Fast, reliable, and quiet, the unit runs
at 85 dBA. The unit offers a one gallon vacuum
collection system (internally mounted in the cabinet
version ~ Model 250C )
with a single push-button operation, making the unit
convenient and user-friendly. In addition to
Optical Media, the CD/DVD feed slot will also accept
other light materials such as floppy disks, ID
badges, credit cards, etc. The unit is also
available in a desktop version without the cabinet
( Model 250 ). In
addition, the unit comes in a deployment version
( Model 250DEP) in
which the unit and vacuum system are stored and
"operational" in a moveable hard carry case.
